I drew this for my friend Michelle :)

She asked me to draw her anything, just something pretty.

I came up with this after watching a movie about fairies.
I don't really know how the two relate. I just think that was my inspiration.

I'm truly happy with this picture, Her hair and skin tone worked well with the lighting, and the butterfly is in proportion.

Maybe I was motivated by the fact my 'client' was a good friend and I really wanted her to like it.

I hate the water, although the man looks better than I had expected he would.

probably because I drew him on a larger scale and could add lots of detail before I shrank him down.

After drawing the wolf, I decided to keep practicing fur.
This one took a while. A few hours.
Usually I have my drawings down quite fast, mainly because I'm super impatient.
But I really wanted to get this done right.
And, well I think It's beautiful.

Also an idea for a tattoo that got out of hand.

Regardless though I like how this turned out.

The colours I used work well together, and the depth of the eyes worked just like I planned.

Things going to plan is not something that happens often to me.
So when it does it feels gooooooood.

This is a stupid drawing, Someone asked me to design a lily for a tattoo.

To be honest, I'm not used to drawing tattoos, although I do want to get into that eventually.
It always ends up looking too detailed. I don't know when to stop.

Needs to be a line drawing.

From all my time spent on World Of Warcraft I guess thats where the idea for this came from.
Actually also playing a lot of God of War on PS3, I was reminded of all the Greek Mythology I used to love studying.
This is a Tree Nymph.
Shes not very realistic, needs to be more rounded. But I like the texture of the tree and the depth of the forest.
I seriously need to practice skin and tone.

Set the scene practice.

I don't usually fill the whole page when I draw something in particular, which I really need to start doing.

So I draw the fairy, obviously very quickly as she doesnt even have a body.
Then I painted the background on Photoshop, adding images of flowers and fading the opacity to a low percentage.
I also plastic wrapped her wings.
Not great.
Not awful.
But good for practice.

Obviously my mind doesn't wander far when I'm bored.
I don't know who these people are.
I'm really not happy with the shadows on the faces.
Needs a lot of work.
Not a disaster for a quick drawing in my spare time.

I picked this because I really love red hair and wanted to draw it.
I also wanted to see how I would go with this picture drawing the fluff on her jacket.
I think I did well for a first try.
On the jacket that is, the hair looks like crap.
I need to 're watch' Stephanie Valentin's video on youtube.

Madonna.

Celebrity art.

I really like this picture of Madonna, it also reminds me of Marilyn Monroe.

It's still very 'blocky' and I need to learn to use Gaussian blur.

I think that would make a huge difference to my finals.

Still need to work on hair.

Although the lips and eyes look really great.

I'm happy with them :)

HAIR.

I decided I needed to practice hair.

I've been watching tuturials on how to draw hair in photoshop from Stephanie Valentin.

Her work is absolutly amazing.
I will work my hands to the bone if I can get my drawings even close to hers.

So this ^ Is just a random girl I made up.

And this v is Lady Gaga, who Dennis asked me to draw as practice for hair, and her hair is crazy in the photo I used as a referance.
I don't like it.
Which motivates me to keep practicing! Yay! -__-

RYUK.

Ryuk is a fictional character of anime series Death Note.
In the series, he is a Shinigami bored with the Shinigami Realm, so he decides to drop a Death Note in the human world for someone to find, hoping to relieve his boredom. 
He deliberately writes the instructions inside the front cover so people would understand its purpose. (Which is to take the life of anyone whos name is written inside.)
Light Yagami finds the Death note and so on and so fourth the series of Death Note was born.
I'm not usually a fan of most anime, but I did quickly fall in love with Death Note, to the point where I couldn't wait to get home to continue watching it.
Kind of Pathetic, but I'm okay with that.
This was my first attempt at using my Wacom Cintiq 12WX, I've never used a tablet before, actually I lie, this one time (at band camp) I used a Bamboo just to try it out.
I didn't love it because I found it hard to get used to, watching the desktop screen while drawing on an alt screen.

ANYWAY! I love the tablet, and I'm hoping it will eventually get me motivated to practice more and I can be even more awesomer than I am now :)
